Hello,
I'm currently building a new system based around a Haswell Motherboard/CPU. The board supports the ability to boot the system in both legacy and UEFI BIOS modes.
I also have a GOP ready VGA capable of booting in UEFI (a GTX 660), thanks to a BIOS update from EVGA.
I did think to go ahead and simply boot the system in UEFI mode, but I will be using Windows 7 64 Bit. As I understand it, the feature I desired most with UEFI (fast boot) is only available with Windows 8.
Is there any other reason for going through the hassle of booting in UEFI mode with a Windows 7 installation? Or should I just stick to legacy until I upgrade the OS? (There is also no chance of me using a 2.2TB+ drive in this particular system.)
Thanks!
