When buying a new power supply, do the amps matter?

So I have bought a new power supply for my pc. The voltage is the same, but the current/ amps is not. I am wondering if this will fry my motherboard? I have a HP Pavillion p6220a specs are:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 2.93GHz
RAM: 4GB
OLD PSU: Bestec ATX-250-12z (This is what I want to replace)
Graphics Card: Asus nvidia geforce 210
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Motherboard: MSI MS-7525
And I have a Antec Neo HE550

Solution
It will be more than enough. You could get away with a 300W psu for that card. And antec typically make solid PSUs as well, and that particular one has lots of amps on the +12v rails so you should be good to go.

Thanks, that answers my question! One more question though, I have an asus nvidia geforce 210 which draws 75 watt, will my power supply be enough?
