Hi everyone,
Okay so this is my third question over the span of two days since I started building my first PC. I finished assembling everything and have booted up with a windows cd in the cd drive and after it says that it is loading windows, it gets stuck at the 'starting windows' screen, about halfway through the animation of the 4 colours (green, yellow, blue, red) flying in to form the windows log in.

Does anyone have any advice? I've been reading the repsonses to similar questions that people have been posting, but nothing seems to work. I tried resetting the CMOS, I tried testing with just 1 stick of RAM, I tried logging into BIOS to see that my HDD and optical drive are being detected.

Here's my specs: Core i7-4930k, Asus Sabertooth x79, EVGA geforce GTX 770, 1TB HDD, 16 (2 x 8GB) sticks of LP vengeance RAM.
I had to do the whole usb flashback BIOS thing, and it worked without any problems - or so it seems.

Any advice?

Thanks!

SABERTOOTH X79 BIOS 4302 make sure you have this. make sure xmp profile for your ram is turned on and mb running is stock speed not performance mode. check that the hard drive on the intel not the asmedia sata port and the port set to achi mode. try downlading from digital river a know good iso image and use the microsoft iso to usb tool.

I should also mention - I'm trying to install Windows 7 64bit. I got the ISO file from my school (MSDN) and burned that iso file to a DVD. Is it at all possible that this is causing the problem? If it's able to at least load files from the DVD, that shouldn't mean that the DVD is faulty, correct?

Nothing seems to be working...
Does anyone have any other remedies? I'm at a bit of a loss...
I really need to get this assembled soon so that I can continue with some school work...
