best laptop hdd under $100

i am in the market for a new laptop hdd as my old one died in an accident :/ i have a 95 dollar budget and so far im looking at the 500gb seagate hybrid drive. is this the best choice in this price range with at least 500 gb of storage?

Your best bet is a 120 gig SSD drive it will be so much faster. A samsung evo or 840 would be 2 to consider for that price unless you need 500 gig you could always get a external drive for added storage later.

You could always watch for a special or a discount at your local e tailer I paid around 60 for a 500 gig drive awhile back for a notebook.
