If I back up everything in my current hard drive (except windows), reinstall windows, and start anew, can I just copy paste all my Program Files, Program Files (x86) and other important folders back into the main drive?
Will Windows recognize new programs if I just drag a folder into Program files?

Solution

Magician does not, but there is a data migration utility available from...

nope. when a program is installed it puts files in places besides program files, makes entries in the registry, saves settings in the appdata folder...you can do it, but 90% of software won't work after you do. Just collect your license keys and download the programs you need to install beforehand :)

Does Samsung's Magician software on the SSD 840 EVO have cloning options?
