Hello, I just finished building my first custom PC. It's a 64-bit AMD Athlon X4 760K Quad Core with 8GB or RAM (only 4GB at the moment, will explain later) with Windows 8 64-bit and AMD HD7850-DC-1GD5 graphics card. I am starting this thread because I have been having some problems. I finally pin pointed a faulty RAM so I got rid of that but now my computer is still being weird. I can boot the computer and it will start running but after using it for some time it will randomly reboot. Is it possible it is over heating? Could it be the wiring? I believe I have everything wired correctly, since it is turning on and running the OS etc. Maybe I need to re apply some thermal paste? I was doing some trouble shooting and removed the heat sink a few times without replacing the thermal paste. I know that isn't something you are supposed to do, but could it be that? Next is the power supply.. I don't have a surge protector for the computer but I have other electronics plugged into the wall and dont seem to have any issues with them so I don't believe this is the cause. ANY tips, or suggestions would be much appreciated, I apologize for my lack of familiarity with terms and such, I am relatively new with building my own PC. Before anyone asks, I did use a grounding strap so I didn't shock any parts. Thanks! ** I am not over clocking, I have it set to standard settings. **

Might try raising the CPU/NB voltage about + 0.08 and see if it helps - also what model of DRAM (1 set or 2) and what PSU?

I will try that, I have one 4GB DDR3 RAM card in there at the momoent, I had two 4Gs in there but the other was faulty so the computer would turn on then run for ten seconds before rebooting and it would just repeat. I am using a 500W Bronze EVGA power supply.
