What graphics card should I get, (under $150?) AMD only

Current system specs:
AMD A-8 5500 processor clocked at 3.2 Ghz
8gbs of DDr3 RAM (going to upgrade to better timing frequency eventually) clocked at 800 mhz
1 tb hard drive (7200RPM)
300mw power supply
Last and definitely least an ASUS brand Radeon HD 7470 graphics card.

Notes: I am looking for the best visuals, but future proofing is not an issue for me. I have a budget, I need a new power supply in order to run the new card, so I have about $50 for that. So please give me some Radeon graphics cards under (limit $200 preferably $150) my budget. I am already looking in on the R7 260x, but I was wondering about the 7850 since it is cheaper. The only reason I am even considering the r7 260x against the 7850 is simply because of the promised performance with mantle.

I am also unsure about brands. Currently I plan to get an ASUS as not only is that the brand of my motherboard, and all other possible components, but also because I don't mind spending a little extra to get quality.

This brings me to my next question, should I just save up the money to buy an R9 270x? Very difficult choices. I plan to upgrade in year or two, so all I need is something to hold me over not something that will remain competitive. I do not mind playing at a lower resolution, just not below 1280x720p (I have a 21" moniter 16:9 aspect ratio) and always with the highest of graphics settings. Crysis 3 is not a must, the most demanding games I have played so far are prototype 2, AVP, and SWOTR, but if I ever did play Crysis 3, I would want to be able to play on at least 1280x720p, at highest settings, averaging 40fps. As you can see I am not a very demanding person of my cards, I dont even plan to overclock them unless I absolutely have to get a few extra frames, but I am specific and would rather wait to get something better suited for me later than waste money now.

Thank you, Jay2Jay

damn you guys are fast.

I do appreciate the help, the more answers the better. Although Like I said, I need a powe rsupply along with it, that is why I am not getting the 7950, I plan to use whatever I get until I can get a REAL graphics card (r9 290x or 7990) in a year or so. Temporary is the name of the game here.

Thats how it went before and I had $600 in the bank saved up over 1 year and a half. Then my identity was stolen. I am only fifteen, but my birthday is in February, then i can get an actual job, which means I will then be able to afford two r9 270x in crossfire. That is why I don't want to spend much now, plus I will be able to regain this money back even quicker once I start learning how to make triple A games, which is hard when you have crappy graphics card.

I see now that I should have explained this earlier.

evga has a bronze rating the lepa only has a 80 plus rating. the evga has two 6+2 pcie cables and the lepa has one 6 pcie with a 6+2 pcie cable so in other words evga will have better support for more graphics cards then the lepa and the evga has 40 amps compare to 34 amps to the lepa i would choose the evga over lepa

since you are already going to crossfire 2 270x you shouldnt throw your money in the dirt and get something else you should try and get the one 270x first then buy the other later you would be silly to throw your money into another card = wasted money

Sorry I did not explain more clearly. I don't plan to get two r9 270xs, but I do plan on upgrading the card, that was just me saying that my budget would be far higher. Sorry, that was my fault, again.

Also on the evga, thanks I might just get that one, although power efficiency is not no.1 on my plan, for an extra $10 it can't be beat.

I have also heard that Crossfire results in lots of crashes, although this should be fixed in the r9-r7 series drivers, I don't see why I should get two mid-end cards for the price of one high-end if I wont get twice the performance.
