Hi all, about a week ago i built my first gaming pc from the ground up:) I have a Haswell i5 4670k paired with a GTX 660 SC and my system plays every game i throw at it on max settings no problem except for Battle Field 3.

The strange thing is even on low, medium, high and ultra i get the same problem, the screen "tears"(i think thats what im trying to say) when i look left to right or up and down. The fps is smooth as butter and the graphics look great but its unplayable to me with all this tearing:( Its so bad i literally get car sick after playing it like that no exaggeration. If anyone knows why its doing this or how to fix it i would really appreciate any advice.

P.S. Heres my full build incase that will help.

i5 4670 k

MSI Z87-G45 gaming mother board

Rosewill capstone 650 watt gold cert psu with 54 amps on 12v rail

Cooler master 120 mm seidon liquid cpu cooler.

G.Skill 4 gb Ripjaws Timing 7-7-7-21

A sh** ton of fans keeping everything well ventilated and cool.

Solution
Have you tried enabling V-Sync? That will remove the tearing...though at the expense of FPS and input lag (though the severity of that differs upon opinion)

Does the tearing look like this?:

If so, have you tried turning on VSync?

Good question. Ive yet to hear a good reason why some games tear horribly while other dont (without V-Sync Enabled). For instance, I NEVER see tearing in Starcraft 2...very little in Crysis 3...and a shit ton on Far Cry 3.
