I am based in Delhi. I have a desktop on the ground floor, with Beetel 450 BX1 ADSL 2 + modem. The Wi Fi signals reach all the rooms in the house, within a range of 10-15 metres, but NOT the 1st and 2nd floors. I tried changing the modem and router but it did not work.
I have a TP Lnk wireless router 300 MPBS with 3 antenna, TLWR 941 ND. Can I use it to extend the range so that the Wi Fi works from the 2nd Floor? Will I need RJ45 cable for this?

Can someone guide me please?

Likely the ceiling/floors are made of materials that are hard to penetrate. Buildings with poured concrete tend to do a very effective job of blocking the signal.

The obvious answer is yes you can use your router to get wireless to the other floors by running a wire from your current router up to the other floor and then putting the router there. You would want to run it as a AP but it can run as a router if you really want it too. This method of using ethernet cable to extend and placing more wireless devices to create signal is the gold standard for ensuring good wireless coverage.

I suspect since you already knew this maybe you had a different question. Still running cable and putting in more hardware is the only method I can pretty much guarantee will work very well.
