Recently my pc has been lagging like hell and has even crashed twice with the blue screen (telling me to uninstall any antivirus programme and defragmenters) . Also my browser is so full of ads EVERYWHERE (they are even on the middle of the damn screen!) Downloads are so slow as hell that theres no point in waiting - yet before they were at a good pace...

I have scanned for malware and viruses and results are clean. I even used the pc index to check if my specs have changed and they didn't.
Now my computer lags so bad It takes forever to open up the control panel... and I have an i7 processor and an NVidia GeForce chipset..

I sent it to a friend to check it out and he said that Google Chrome was causing the problem. He uninstalled it and then the pc stopped lagging but the games are still lagging and stopping..

The sound when I play games is working alright but when it lags it makes this "rrr" sound with it. And it lags every 5 seconds if not constantly. I used to be able to play games like Amnesia and Slender: The Arrival smoothly but now even games Like MCF( A Bigfish game with hidden objects - that hardly requires any work to run!) can't even run smoothly, it lags and the cutscenes lag too with sounds being cut off and evwntually cuts bag to the desktop saying it stopped working...
Also media like videos saved on my pc play badly as in it also lags like im watching the thing on YouTube with buffering :[

I don't know what else to do. Please help me guys , if you can't than I don't think anyone else can :(

here are my specs:
- Acer Aspire 5750G laptop
-Intel core i7 - 2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz
-Windows 7 (SP1)
-64bit OS
-Nvidia Geforce GT 540M up to 1760 MB TurboCache
-4GB RAM

Solution
Its probably heat issues, its a incredibly common problem with computers, just take it to the nearest IT store, they can probably fix it, it might also be that one of your fans has gotten stuck and is no longer cooling your computer

another likely problem is the hard drive, a friend of mine busted his laptop hard drive, it took forever to boot and ran atrociously, try what Geek said, no harm in trying it,

if that doesn't fix it you might have damaged hardware

Open Up CMD and type CHDSK /r /f. It will help you. Sometimes hard drive errors cause such problems. The check will take some time, as it will repair bad sectors and files itself.

let us know how it goes.
