I launched bf3 for the first time on my new computer today. I was unable to join a online match for some reason even though I downloaded what orgin told me to. So I decided to try out campain and it was very laggy. On the load screens I was getting about 30 fps and In the actual game I was getting about 30-40 fps on ultra setting. I have a brand new EVGA GTX 780 SC edition so I know I am able to run the game very well at these settings. Whats the problem? Oh and I used fraps to see what fps I was getting. UPDATE: I tested some other games, in crysis 2 which I have for steam the fps is awful only about 13 just when starting up the game. Skyrim however ran perfect on the highest settings never dropping below 60 fps. My temps are around 36c across the board aswell.

What are the rest of your specs, because it sounds like a bottleneck.

Also, to join a game in Battlefield 3 you don't do quick matches. You have to manually look for and join a server on the site. It's strange, I had the same issue:

My cpu is an i7 4770k and my powersupply is 850 watts so I really doubt its a bottleneck.
My motherboard is an asus z87 pro

download the latest nvidia drivers, restart the computer and then play the game. here's the link to latest beta drivers http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/67378 also i would recommend download and install Nvidia geforce experience so next time when the latest driver release it'll automatically do the job. http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience.

I already have geforce expierience downloaded and running. I even tried launching the games straight from there. Updating everything was the first thing I did when I got the computer.

I also tried running Planet Side2. It ran great but after awhile I got an alarm telling me my computer is overheating.

are you installing game on system drive(where windows is installed) or any different drive. try uninstalling and changing the installation path. your PC is absolutely perfect for running this game on 80+ fps at 1080p.

seems like your Graphics card isn't performing well. install a program "GPU-Z" and after it';s installed go to "Sensors" tab and leave it open then Play the game and monitor the GPU Clock, Memory usage and tell me.
