I'm about to order all the parts for my first 'proper' gaming PC, but have next to no idea what actually makes the difference between good or bad monitors/speakers. The primary function is gaming, but I will also occasionally be using this PC to listen to music (probably only MP3 files), browse the internet and maybe watch the occasional film.

My original price goal was £1500, but I've revised that to a maximum of £2000. Here's the build so far:

Also buying the following peripherals:

Keyboard: [UK Filco Majestouch-2, NKR, Tactile Action Keyboard](http://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard_details.asp?PRODUCT=646) (£120)

Mouse: [Logitech G602 Wireless Gaming Mouse](http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-G602-Wireless-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00ESVLW0O) (£89)

New total: £1695.34

Is that a decent monitor? How does it sit on the price/quality curve? Would you recommend a different one? I'm intend to grab a second (possibly also a third) monitor at some point in the future so I don't want to go for anything crazily high end here, just something with high responsiveness and pretty colours.

As for speakers, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever. This is gonna be primarily used for gaming, and the highest quality audio files I'm likely to be using outside of that are MP3s. Any suggestions?

As a final question: have I skipped any important parts or extras? I intend to buy and anti static wrist thingy for the peace of mind it'll bring. Would this come with thermal paste and screws/screwdrivers?

I'd been considering doing so. Wouldn't 1440p put me below the 60fps goal on newer games though (assuming I want to use AA and the highest settings)? If you don't think it would do so, could you recommend a decent one at a reasonable price?

Well ive found, personally, having a larger resolution, you dont need to bump the eye candy like you did on lower resolutions. So in turn that doesnt stress the card as much. As for 60 fps, to me that has never mattered, as long as things ran for like I wanted them to and looked how I wanted. So it may not meet that requirement, I have no idea.
