Hello,

I am using a Intel i7 3930k and a Gigabyte X79-UD3 motherboard.

I installed a utility from Gigabyte called "Easy Tune 6" which overcloaks the CPU with a click of a button... I overclocked it, restarted the machine and saw that it crashed (bluescreen)... When I restarted again I came back to find out that this utility "Easy Tune 6" was completely GONE! I tried installing it again, but it sayed "Please Remove EasyTune6 first" ... but I cannot remove it because it is completely gone as if it never was installed...

I've even downloaded some software removal tools, none can find a trace from that utility.

Any solutions?

That's very difficult to deal with when you cloak you CPU. That's some technological advances. That would be cool though if it really cloaked a CPU. ;)

Serious now, the software to OC the chip isn't reliable. Just don't mind that and don't do it again. OC thru your BIOS and not any software. Try booting into safe mode, press F8 before windows loads. Then go to control panel and uninstall from there.

I'm pretty sure it's in ProgramData...
enable full control of all files and delete it :)
also :Type windows key + r and msconfig then go to startup and stop et6 from loading ;)

The program isn't in "start up" as well... I've check
Registry cleaner didn't work as well...

I did a system restore and now it appears in the "Uninstall Program" list ,but it wont uninstall... when I try to install the newer version back it won't work as well...

I also tried manually deleting all registries related to this software... didn't work!

------UPDATE-----------

So I managed to uninstall it with this
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall

But the cpu remains overclocked so I tried to install it again, but it says that I need to remove the previous version first, so I guess it didn't work!

I've always wanted an ssd and this gave me a great opportunity since I had to reinstall windows anyway!

I got an answer from Gigabyte which basically told my that I am fucked and I should reinstall my windows... so thats what I did, I did a overclock trough the bios and everything is running just fine :)
