transfer of data from old hard drives on a dead pc

My Dell 5000 has finally died. the two Seagate Barracuda hard drives are fine but I need to transfer the data to a laptop whilst i source a new desktop pc. I bought a caddy and leads from Digiflex and although they said it would work on my drives I think that as it is for 2.5 drives it may not have the power to do the desktop drives. How can I transfer the data? Any ideas gratefully recieved.Kaibil

The easiest and the fastest way : If you have a Desktop available to you(friends/family/work), then remove the laptop's HDD and plug it to desktop as a second drive(non-OS). Then plug the HDD's(from which you want to recover data) in desktop and transfer data to laptops HDD. That's it, you are done.
