I have an old Dell XPS 410 core 2 duo 1.86 ghz with 4 GB ram P4 boat anchor. It currently has an HD 5450 1gb video card, and for some reason some of the older games (which is all that I have anyway), that use to run on it when it had a 6800? in it now do not. I know others have mentioned that the 5450 is not a gaming card, so wondering if maybe there is a problem there, don't know. I do have a really old HIS HD 3850 card kicking around, and was wondering if there is any point in trying that, and if so will there be a noticable difference as I assume the 3850 is more tuned to games? Don't know about that either. I am asking b4 I try because the HD 3850 has no driver cd, and I know from past experience that finding/downloading the exact right driver can be a headache. So if nobody here forsees an improvement with that card I won't even bother. Thanks!!!

Solution
The 3850 is a much much better card than the 5450.
By the way the drivers are easily available online.
Give me your operating system (windows 7 32bit/64bit, win 8 etc etc) i'll send the link for the drivers.
