Is any ram supported by my motherboard?

Solution
Both links are broken for me. But the Asus H87I-PLUS (I assume that's what you are referring to) supports dual-channel unbuffered DDR3 RAM up to 16 GB total (two slots), with memory clocks of 1066, 1333, or 1600 MHz.

Yes correct this motherboard!
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132032&Tpk=H-87i

So as long as it's 1600mhz ram and 16gb or less it will work? I have read so many reviews of ram and people saying there motherboard didn't support that brand and it didn't work well etc. Why is that?

It needs to be dual-channel (not quad-channel or triple-channel) and it must be un-buffered and NON-ECC.

EDIT:
I can't tell you why some people have bad experiences with mobo+RAM combos. Maybe they didn't read the specs carefully enough and bought incompatible memory. Maybe they got defective or poor-quality boards/RAM sticks. Maybe they just didn't use the right DIMM slots. There are lots of things that can go wrong. But if you do your homework and buy compatible and good-quality hardware you should be OK.
