at the end of the day? is that a good card? will you recommended? because i heard so many bad thing about it, microstuttering and overheating, is that true? because i wanna best single card ever...money is not a problem, prise doesn't matter and i can't deside 690 or 780 :/

To be clear, the 690 may be a single card, but it really is two GPUs, and so in a lot of respects will behave like two GPUs in SLI.

The 690 will be more powerful than one 780, but it is more power-hungry and puts out more heat. You also might see microstuttering, but in general Nvidia is pretty good at minimizing that kind of thing with their drivers.

If you really want the "best single card ever", I would suggesting waiting for R9 290X/GTX 780 Ti. Both will be more powerful than the GTX 780 and are true single-GPU solutions.

yes but i have to deside very soon, i got only 2 options gtx 690 or 780, is 780 will be enough for everything? for at least 2 years? with 32 ddr 3 1600 and the newest 4th gen intel i7 4.3, good ventylation in case and water cooling on cpu, so just basically it's all about graphic card

You really don't need 32 GB RAM unless you are doing some heavy duty video editing or rendering work.

One GTX 780 will crush almost all games at 1080p, 60+ FPS for the next two years. In my experience the only game where it can't do 60+ FPS is Crysis 3, but I think we can safely count that as an outlier.

EDIT: If it wasn't already clear, I'm talking about max settings in the above paragraph.

I would not get the 690. It has only 2GB of RAM effectively. Sure it has two sets of 2GB ram, but it acts like 2GB. That means for anything above 1920X1080 resolution you will run out of memory. IE the 2560X1600 30 inch screens or triple screens. Each new generation of games require more RAM too.

The 780 has 3GB RAM which really, in this day is far better. Of course you have the Titan with its 6GB RAM. If you had to buy now, it'd be either two 780's or two Titans. Wait until the 23rd or so and two R9 290X's will be the best. about the same as the Titan, but about $350 less per card. Then, in a month or so, we have the 780TI coming which will probably be as good or better than the R9 290X and the Titan TI is rumored, which will be better yet.

The fun never ends.

iam talking about one monitor, 1920x1080 60 fps, that it - and iam not a fan a games like crysis 3, battlefield 3-4 or farcry, some kinda old games, like League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth etc

OP, I really would wait a few days for the 290X or 780ti to come out. Even a 4GB 680 in SLI is bottlenecked by its bus width, thus making the 4GB GK104 chips a worthless "upgrade" AFAIK.

Well for LoL, even a 780 is going to be overkill. If you have the money, though, and you really need to buy now, then I suggest GTX 780. It is the best top-end card currently available (the price on the Titan is a joke), and handles single monitor 1080p gaming very well.

Should the game not support SLI, it will be like a 680, which is more than plenty (for now) at 1080p.

Like I said, if you want a new card now, then I recommend the GTX 780 on the top-end.

If you are willing to wait, then R9 290X or GTX 780 Ti might be better options.

that's nice, i will probably go for 780 but still no1 answer me about 690, what is general opinion about that card? good or bad? worth the money? cause much problems?

They are literally two 680s mashed into the same PCB, running in SLI. They have the same performance as dual 680s, which on many occasions beats a 780. They do not suffer from many issues in SLI, but because it is just dual 680s, you are better off buying a 760 or 770 and putting two of them in SLI.

Actually, I think you'd be much happier with a larger monitor. I have a 30 inch Sony U3011 at home and a U3014 at work. Wondrous to have a huge 30 inch display with a full 2560X1600 resolution. Games, as well as just cruising the web etc. is a real treat. Perhaps you could go with a R9 280X and a 27 inch 2560X1440 display. About the same price as the 690 you seem to want. Believe me, large monitors are where it's at. Of course you can go triple too. Either way better than an over powered dinky 1920X1080 display.

That would be a good option, the 280X is quite good at higher resolutions and its extra ram comes in handy.
