Only the socket FM2+ version of Steamroller has been confirmed; a.k.a. Kaveri.
Well... there's also the Opteron version for socket G34.

Well there are two problems. Opteron are server CPUs so you would be unlikely to use them for a gaming PC especially since both server CPUs and motherboards are more expensive than their consumer level versions. I think G34 mobos ranges from around $300 - $1,100.
AMD's APUs lack L3 cache when compared to the FX CPUs. I'm sure there could be other things missing, but I never bothered to check. While both Richland and FX series CPUs have Piledriver cores, the performance of Richland APUs pales in comparison to the FX series. It's too early to know if Kaveri APUs will performance just as well or better than the FX CPUs. There's always the possibility that while they perform better than the Richland APUs, they may still perform worse than the FX series.
It is hard to say. I believe that the A-10 apus are not that far from the fx-4300 and 4350 (maybe 10-15%).
I hope they come out with steamroller CPUs but AMD is dead silent on that. It might be possible that they are dropping the FX line, or combining everything onto FM2+ (which would be better in the long run, and FM2 and 2+ are more feature rich). We'll have to wait to see.
The long and short of it is that right now there is no reason to upgrade for steamroller if you have a 6 or 8 core Piledriver, since it will perform better than the only steamroller processors that are known to be coming.
Also... Last I heard, the opterons are getting a piledriver refresh and not steamroller.
