How much to charge for repairs?

I am repairing a compaq presairo f700. Customer complained of screen cutting out after a few min, which is the case. Sounds like GPU overheating which happens to all laptops of this kind. Im going to replace thermal paste (stock) with ASC2.

I was thinking for parts and time, around $100, since even new this laptop will no doubt fail again due to stock thermal paste.

Is that the issue? Hard to name a price if you don't know if that is the solution. You may change the thermal compound and it may not resolve the issue. So even though you did that work, it's not fully chargeable because you didn't resolve the client's problem.
