hello people !!
I have an hp g6 notebook, core i5 3230M 2.6Ghz, 4Gb RAM , windows 8 64bits, Intel HD 4000
and AMD readon HD 7600M
first of all, when i automatically updated the graphic card it became 7670M ( is it normal ? )
my problem is that when configuring the switchable graphics, i set a game (eg, hitman 5) on high performance profile. I play for like 5 seconds and then the fan starts to run like crazy and the laptop shuts down. When i start it again, i get a message sayin that there was an overheat problem. when i touch the laptop, i find it cool, but using SpeedFan it indicates 100C° heat on the gpu !!!!
any ideas please?
Thank you.

It would seem that your notebook cannot cope with the heat being produced by a much more taxing profile and thus has to shutdown to prevent itself and possibly sustaining damage. Gaming notebooks are always prone to temperature issues, thus you should avoid using performance profiles that enhance performance and thus thermal exhaust.

isnt the AMD graphic card supposed to have a separate fan to cool itself ?? because all i can hear is the fan on the left side of the laptop.
See, the heat literally jumps up from about 35 to 70 C° in 2 seconds !! it is really weird.

Another thing, the other time i tried to install Castlevania and in 10% progress the laptop shut down (heat problem) because i was on high performance profile !! it seems also that any program i use under the high performance profile causes an overheat (even winrar)

here are two snapshots of CPU & GPU when playing maxpayne 3 in power saving and high performance profile

in power saving profile, the laptop only uses the cpu n it does not get heated !! i play maxpayne 3 for hours !! however in high perf profile, the laptop uses the cpu+gpu n in 10 sec in shuts down

Depends on how the manufacturer designed the laptop, I wouldn't be surprised if the CPU and GPU were sharing the same heatsink.
Unless you can figure out a way to remedy its cooling problems, I think your just stuck keeping in Power Save mode.

If you want to stop shutdowns, just stop using the high performance profile. How much of a performance boost does it give you anyway?
