Need help to decide wether to buy or not.

Hello everyone!
I don't really know much about computers, so I truly hope you can help me. I'm going to buy a new case for my computer since my current one is pretty bad.
So I was wondering if I should upgrade my motherboard when i am about to move everything anyway.
I'm using an Asus SABERTOOTH X58 atm, but what would the benefits be in upgrading it, to a newer motherboard? Budget is not really an issue and my intention for this PC is gaming.

X58 boards were the premium about 3-4 years ago. Most of the i7 chips are still considered quite good for modern gaming.

A lot of gaming depends on the GPU which you didn't list. That would be the first thing to upgrade after or with your new case.

Well my setup is

Evga GeForce GTX 770 2GB
Intel Core i7 950 3.06 GHz 8MB Box 130W S1366
Kingston HyperX 6GB DDR3 + Corsair Dominator 12GB DDR3
Samsung 840 Pro SSD 256 gb
WD Caviar Black 1 TB

But if i got a better motherboard, would it increase the gaming experience at all?

Not really. You could overclock the 950 and get it pretty close to 4Ghz or above, that would help in CPU bound games.

I myself upgraded from an i7-950 and 12GB of Corsair Dominator to an i7-4770k. Not a huge impact in gaming, but my goal was to get the Intel SATA III ports.
