just like it says. everything worked fine until bf4 beta driver came out, installed it, and one monitor stopped recieving a signal (the one using displayport). i have since reverted my old drivers when everything worked, but nvidia control panel will not allow me to check the box next to the monitor to activate it. everything is setup EXACTLY as it was before all this started so i really dont understand the problem

Don't...

I had a similar issue when I updated to the BF4 Beta drivers with changing my refresh rate from 120 to 144 Hz on my VG248QE for awhile. I updated the drivers and then when i tried to switch the refresh rate, it would go black, come back, and ask if i wanted to apply changes, and the refresh rate would still be 120Hz. I had to reinstall the drivers using the "Clean install" checkbox on the drivers to get that functionality back. You may try doing the same, especially since the non-beta drivers just came out yesterday.

In the newest nVidia drivers, setups using Surround need to be all the same port, I believe. So if you are using 2x DVI ports and one DisplayPort, you need to get an adapter to change the DisplayPort to DVI

Incorrect, any of the ports can be used an adapter won't be needed if the monitor has a DP.

Sry... I meant I *uninstalled the bf4 beta driver and reverted to the previous working driver for me, which was 320.18. I have not tried unplugging one of the other monitors, I will try that when I get home from work. I assumed I didn't have to because windows detects all 3 monitors and there are drivers installed for all 3. For whatever reason, nvidia control panel DOES see the third monitor, it just won't let me activate it. Every time I try to click on it, the computer freezes for about 15 seconds then just returns to normal. For the record, the monitors are 3 asus vg248qe's. I don't kno if that helps or not.

the 15 seconds happens to be the time windows gives you to accept the changes when you change display settings, it then goes back to the previous settings...
weird, you wouldnt have a system restore point available before when you first installed the new drivers?

still no luck :(

got the new 331.58 from nvidia, did a clean install after driver sweeper and cc cleaner, still nothing. i did come across something interesting tho. i disconnected the two dvi montiors and left only the displayport monitor connected to the graphics card. the computer started 100% normal- bios post, raid array, windows loading screen-- but after windows loading screen it just stopped recieving a signal and went black same as before. could something in windows be the problem?

Finally got it. I had to swap a dvi cable with the displayport on 2 of the monitors. But here's the trick, this had to be done WITH THE COMPUTER ON AND BOOTED INTO WINDOWS. After this, the third monitor finally got a signal, and all I had to do was reconfigure nvidia surround. I tried swapping the cables with the computer off and it DID NOT work. Hopefully this helps someone out.
