Hey guys, just wondering if i should buy two R9 270x and run them in CrossfireX or just stick with a single R9 280x. And this is my first build and will probably be playing a lot of BF4 and Titanfall when it comes out late December - January 2014
Always go with the best single card you can get. I'd either get a single AMD Radeon R9 280X or Crossfire two of them. SLI 760's is going to cost you almost the same as Crossfired 280X's.
in Aus a single 760 cost around $300 but a single 280x is around $400 so yeah $600 compared to $800
Ah, you didn't mention that you were in Aus. I have a GTX 760 and would rather sell it and get the 280X than buy another for SLI if that helps you any.

I'd say just stick with one 280x for now until AMD gets their drivers straightened out. By then you can save some cash and get another 280x!
Ya i have just tried to crossfire these cards.. And I confirm the drivers are F*cked. I have reinstalled and swept drivers for my whole system alot of times and still when i put in the second card it will crash when I play a game.
Or if it works it is actually a slower fps than one card.
