Hi.
I am planning on doing a haswell build and was wondering which of these 3 motherboards where the best in terms of performance and their Bios.

I am planning on doing mostly gaming and some light overclocking.
Thanks for your help.

Solution
From the builds I've done on the Z87, Asus seems to have the best handle on the Z87/Haswell, the BIOS's are better tuned, handle DRAM well, run cool, and tend to OC better using less voltage

Would you say that the Killer would be better than the Extreme 4 then? Do the Asus boards have some features that neither of the boards I were looking at have, or are a better quality?

Thanks for your help .

Where I am in Australia, the Asus Z87 Plus is about $45 more than the boards I were looking at and on par price wise with the Gigabyte UD3H and Asrock Extreme 6. Do you think that the $45 premium is worth the benefits that the Asus board gives?
Thanks again.

To me it would not be worth the extra money.

pattym, Go pick the ASUS MAXIMUS VI Hero.
Price is near to your choice. But performance is far better.

Also, as you are from Australia, you might think having one of the following 2 SSD for your better peromance:

Samsung 840 500GB SSD worth $433.99

or

Samsung M.2 PCIe Solid State Drives (price is available on request, don't know why they don't made the price visible to public view.(confusing!)

Tradesman1, actually it shouldn't be, as Australia gets the components from the nearby countries who manfactures. Say, from Thailand(HDD from Bangkok mostly), SSD & RAM stick from Taiwan, Boards from Malaysia, few others from China.

Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia and China are the major manufacturer countries for the components. And Australia isn't that much far from those.

Thankyou for you contribution to answering my question Akashdeep. How ever in Australia, the price of the Asus Maximus VI Hero is actually more than 100$ more than my original options. Product pricing here is extremely inflated particularly for the Processor, Graphics card and Motherboard which can be up to $100 more than in the US.
