Display driver has stopped working and successfully recovered.

Hello, I have a problem with my PC that I built.
This is my build.
Frequently my PC will freeze up (everything, but the cursor). After about 5-10 seconds it shows a brief black screen followed by a recovery with the message: "The display driver has stopped working and successfully recovered." The weird thing is this never happens when I play video games witch is when the display driver works the hardest. I would appreciate any help with this.

While I am here I have another question. I have heard of people maxing out Crysis 1 settings with a much weaker GPU with 30 FPS or more, but I only get 6 FPS. On lowest settings I get 40-50 FPS. Is this because of my CPU? If so what should I upgrade to? If not, what is wrong?! This is extremely frustrating especially because it is such an older game.

Thanks.

Go here.

Sometimes display drivers can cause problems even when they are "up to date". It just depends on interactions with a particular machine, operating system, and settings.

Does this website work for AMD?
I am using mobile to post this. I can't see if it works right now. Thanks for the help. Any ideas on the Crysis problem?

The website is only for Nvidia. Your build indicates you have a GTX 660. If you are looking for AMD drivers go here.

EDIT:
I'm not sure why Crysis is giving you such low framerates. Both your CPU and GPU should be enough to get you higher performance than 6 FPS.

Oops, that was the build that I was considering not the build I ended up getting. I updated the OP with the correct build. Maybe that will clear up the Crysis problem too.

Well, it's not your GPU. The 7790 can run even Crysis 3 on medium settings at 30+ FPS.

Your CPU is a bit weak. I'm not too familiar with it, though, so I can't say for sure if it is responsible for the poor performance in Crysis.

It turns out the whole Crysis problem is just because of a corrupted save that with my luck I loaded right after I set the settings to high which made me think that was the issue. Now I maxed out all the settings except for the AA (I use 2x AA) and resolution (I play on TV with a resolution of 1280x720). I get an average of 50 FPS. :D

As for the driver failing, I updated my drivers, but I am not sure if it worked because I do not know what made the crashes happen before. I will post back here if I get another crash or if I do not get any crashes after plenty of use.

Just happened again today. I updated the drivers and everything. I thought after so long it was fixed, but it was probably because I haven't done anything on this PC, but game lately. I just did some browsing the internet and got it again.
