Hi,

After a 20min prime 95 temps @ 4.4ghz I hit about 65C. I used an offset mode of +0.04. I will do a longer test tomorrow but I just want to know if those temps are good. I need this CPU to last about 4-5 years. I am using a Hyper 212 with 2 fans in my case. So my questions are:

1. Will the CPU last about 4-5 years if I game about 2h and 6h of normal use?
2. Are the temps good?
3. Will getting another fan on my hyper 212 for push pull help?
4. Are there anything else I can do to reduce the temps

Hope u can help!

Thanks

Those are very decent temps for your overclock and heatsink, so your processor will likely live on for quite a while. Processor longevity is really only at risk if you continually run it at over 80s, so you likely still have a bit of overclocking headroom before air cooling becomes untenable.

1. Lasting is a question of uncertainty, you can't be sure if it will break, or you might feel the need to upgrade 2-3 years down the road because it is bottleneck other hardware.
2. Yeah, it is fine for an air cooler.
3. Not likely.
4. Improve your case air flow, hope for a cooler ambient temps. Clean the dusts on your fan, case and other hardware.
