Need some advice on this build. My budget is $1000. My main usage will be editing & gaming. I won't be upgrading for a few years time.

Great features, fast enough, tough system, bang-for-buck & compact.

Question: What can you come up with a $500 budget? Because i really like the setup that you gave me. Just wondering is it possible to build an editing pc on that budget.

Edit: Normally people would ask for a $500 gaming rig but a $500 editing pc??

So just editing and no gaming?

You killed the rest but the thing is still fast. Nice one! But no worries. My $1000 budget is still good. I just need to make the size smaller.

Questions:

1. Do you need a beefy gpu for an editing pc?
2. Between ASRock, Gigabyte & Asus mobo. Which is the most reliable, has tons of features & will last me quite some time?
3. Would the R9 270X be sufficient for a budget gaming pc?

to answer your questions:
1. No you don't, not in the price range you're looking at.
2. It depends more on the individual MB, all of those brands make good MBs.
3. It depends on budget. At $1000 it would not be a good GPU. GPU and CPU selection depends on budget.

Okay. Last question ( off topic ). What would you, a gaming expert as shown on your status, recommend for a $500 gaming build?
