I have a problem with either Adobe flash player or YouTube videos. One of them keeps crashing and stops my internet connection from working in Win 7, Firefox & IE. Although it shows my PC is still connected to the internet, I can’t access any other websites/pages; I have to reboot my PC every time after crashing to re-connect to the internet - both Firefox and IE. I checked the CPU usage...and it shows Firefox or IE sometimes uses 100%, which slows internet operations... And, I also noticed there are 3-4 Firefox, and 3-4 IE (individually) shows up in the Task Manager processes. The only time when crashes occurs is when I click on the ‘skip Ad’ button (mostly) on Youtube videos, and sometimes when I click on other video links to play other videos (whether I stop first video from playing or not). The internet doesn’t crash any other times. I reset Firefox & IE – didn’t cure problem. Uninstalled Firefox & Adobe flash player (in program and features and also with flash player uninstall tool), clean all left over files from PC/registry and done a clean install on both, but still the crashing is not solved. I also use CCleaner regularly to clean my PC. I went round to my friend’s house and found she’s experiencing the same problem as mine. She’s using XP, Firefox & IE. Both of us have TalkTalk as our broadband provider.

You would need to disable the sandbox feature which can be malfunctioning. Here are the steps to do so:

1. Right click Google Chrome desktop icon.
2. Select Properties from the context menu.
3. Click the Target tab in the shortcut properties.
4. Add below arguments next to the Shortcut textbox:
"--no-sandbox"
5. Click OK.

More diagnostic steps and information is available here.
