how to unwrite protect a harddrive

So, there is an old win installation on the "new" disk? That means the files belong to an other owner and windows security blocks the deletion. Old, but still works: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/242867-45-take-ownership-folder
oh its not a new disk, its the disk from my other broken computer, the hard drives fine though, i tired formating it, deleteing the files even going to the cmd.exe and trying to unwrite protect an format it there and nothing seems to work
