Sometimes when using my Windows NT 4.0 computer, all the text being displayed turns into gibberish. Is there some way to reset the font data that is stored in system RAM (or is that info stored in the RAM of the display adapter)? Sometimes, after it has become corrupted like this, later it will just spontaneously fix itself (this in fact just happened on my other computer just as I was composing this post!). What is going on?? If it is just happening on the display adapter's RAM, I can just buy a new display adapter which I have been meaning to anyway. But if that is not the case, I don't know what to do.

Try increasing the color depth of the computer. Have you tried using different Classic themes? They use different fonts, so the chance that you get the problem may be lower.
