First Time Boot ( without ram)

I just finished putting together my rig except for the memory as it hasnt arrived yet. I wanted to see if i built it right by turning it on and waiting for the beeps made by the system ( because of the lack of ram). After pressing the switch it started up for half a second and turned off, litterally half a second. This wories me because I was expecting the beeps to sound. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

Did you add an internal speaker to your motherboard? They don't usually come with one so if you didn't add one then chances are it isn't there.

I think the likelihood here is that your system boots, finds there is no RAM, and turns off. There is no way to confirm until you get some RAM in there. :)

A system (to my knowledge) will not boot without RAM.
