I am thinking of getting a new PC, I want to keep my old hard drive but it's got Windows 7 32-bit on it and I plan to have Windows 7 64-bit, I will be getting another hard drive with the build, am I able to install Windows 7 64-bit on the other Hard drive while keeping my old files? Or will the files on the old hard drive interfere? Thanks in advance

Are you asking about files or programs? Changing your Windows architecture from x86 to x64 will not make any changes to your files. If you use your old hard drive as a secondary data drive you can access all your files from there. Most programs will run on the 64-bit too, you won't have to worry about that. If some programs have issues you can download their respective 64-bit versions or run them under compatibility mode.

I'm just thinking if I can install Windows 7 64-bit on the new hard drive and boot it from there while keeping all my file on my old hard drive.
