It beeps about every 4 boots. Does this mean that my power supply or my motherboard is faulty?

I did memtest86, found 9 errors so I replaced the memory but I'm still getting no beep on most boots

CPU is the fx6300

Hi ,

I have the fx 6300 as well, and an ASUS M5A99FX motherboard. My mobo speaker only beeps on the first power on after being turned off from the wall. Unless it has been tunred off and back on from the wall, it doesn't beep. Don' worry about it, it might just be the way the motherboard is designed. If your computer is working fine otherwise, it is nothing to worry about. Also, when it DOES beep, if there is only one short beep, all is ok.

hope this helps!!
