Hey guys!
I'm looking for a good gaming headset for less than £160.
I would like a good mic and crisp 7.1 surround sound.
It MUST have a built in sound card or at least suggest a usb one perfect for it.
Any ideas?

Hey Dan!

So I have a few suggestions for you.
I'd recommend either the:

Razer Megalodon 7.1 Gaming Headset - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Razer-Megalodon-Gaming-Headset-Surround/dp/B0025VK2SM/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1382443348&sr=8-11&keywords=gaming+headset+7.1
Or
Logitech G35 7.1 Gaming Headset - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-G35-Surround-Sound-Headset/dp/B00CJ5FPSQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1382443560&sr=8-1&keywords=Logitech+g35

I personally have the G930 which are the wireless version of the G35 and I love them! They are crisp and sound amazing, plus the mic is top notch.

You should also consider these if your budget allows it - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Soundblaster-Recon3D-Wireless-Headset/dp/B005JAJQCY/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1382443712&sr=8-15&keywords=wireless+gaming+headset

If I was able to afford those I wouldn't even think twice haha!
Hope that helps :D

Thanks for the help!
I was considering the G930 but I thought that the battery life may be a bit short, but I will reconsider.

Also, for both the Razer Magalodon and G930, do you need a sound card? Because the G430 and other headsets have good built in ones.

If I where to choose from the G35/G930 or the Razer 7.1, what one would you recommend?

Thanks for your help,
~Dan

As someone that has the G930, and had the G35 I can recommend both of them.

The G930 is identical to the G35 other than the wireless feature. The battery lasts a full day of music, gaming and Skype. Worst case, you can charge it while you are playing so it basically turns into a wired headset for a while. I should note that with any wireless headset, you might get a little issue once in a while. Logitech just updated their software and it seems to a really nice improvement from before!

I cant really say anything from personal experience about the Razer headset, but from all the reviews I red, it seems to top notch with impressive comfort and sound.

I would go to YouTube and check out reviews for all 3 of them (maybe even look for a comparison video) and after that you will have a much better idea of what it is you want.

Hope that helps!
