Need personal opinion. How does this pc look to run bf4?

Solution

You're better off building from scratch rather than upgrading a mediocre pre-built.

This PC even bills itself as a "high definition media" entertainment PC. This means it's great for watching movies, not for playing games.

So are you saying that the cpu is too weak? If so, I may consider building one tbh, sounds better

Yes, it is somewhat weak. I highly recommend building your own, you could create a much better balanced build for gaming with higher quality components

Well I recommend the FX-8350 over the i5, it will perform better in BF4 for cheaper. But it will play on medium to high, probably high.

Low: well over 60
Medium: 60 for sure
High: probably 40-60
Ultra: 15-30?

Really? That low on ultra? I mean I have seen the bf4 vids on youtube with the 7850 getting 40 to 50 fps with similar specs. Also one last thing. Do you this this is a good value build, If I went to build all of the same specs but as a i5 instead, which I estimate would be around 460 pounds, is that a decent price or am I being naive, also how long do you think this pc will manage to keep 30+ fps in games

Yeah, the 7850 shouldn't play games on ultra. My recommendation is getting an FX-6300 and a radeon 7950. That should play on ultra. Do not get the i5, the FX will perform better in BF4.

arghm I'm so confused, I am sticking to the 7850 I kiara want a good budget cpu. So what do you recommend considering,I,have 320 pound to spend on a hard drive, os, motherboard and cpu

I'm not British (Canadian) so I can't help you much with that part. All I can say is for gaming, the GPU is way more important than the CPU. The FX-6300 is still a very good CPU, and if it let's you get something better then a 7850 then you should do it. The 7850 is midrange, it is not that good. As for HDD, get the cheapest 1Tb 7200rpm HDD you can. Get a Seagate or WD. As for OS, I'd get windows 8, but that's a personal decision.

I disagree with the FX performing better in Bf4 than an i5. Yes, I know it's "AMD optimised", but beta benchmarks put the i5 ahead of the 8350 and 8320.

Anyways, I would try to go for at least the 8320, over the 6300. I feel like you will be happier with your decision later. Also, You can find 7950's or 7870 XT's(essentially a 7930) for $200 and $170, respectively. Sorry, don't know british price, I'm in the U.S.

An 8320 or 8350 or an i5 paired with a 7950 will get 50-60 on high I would imagine in BF4.
