Ok to start, I want to create my own gaming rig, I only want to go at £1000 MAX, but £800 is more preferable. I might overclock at some point, so I have decided to get 'overclockable' components.

CPU- Intel core i5 4670k- £176.94- www.amazon.co.uk

RAM- Kingston Genesis 8GB (2 x 4GB)- £56.99- www.overclockers.co.uk

MOTHERBOARD- MSI Z87-G45- £117.44- www.scan.co.uk

HDD- Seagate 1TB Desktop SSHD- £69.69- www.ebuyer.com

PSU- Corsair GS800- £79.98- www.ebuyer.com

WIRELESS NIC- Edimax ew-7722PnD N600- £21.12- www.scan.co.uk

CASE- Cooler Master Storm Scout ii advanced- £77.05- www.scan.co.uk

GPU- MSI GTX 760- £184.00- www.ebuyer.com (now here I was going to buy a second one later on, hence the large PSU, was also going to wait till the big price drop when the 790 and 800 series is released).

CPU COOLING- Cooler Master 212 EVO- £23.98- www.scan.co.uk

OPTICAL DRIVE- (I'm not sure what to get, I want to be able to read and write CD/DVD but it's not optional but I would like to be able to read Blu-Ray).

EXTRA FANS- (I'm not sure if I need them just yet, but I'm sure I will once the second GPU is added, so what fans do you suggest, and should I get them now?)

So if there is any better alternatives for the price please state what would be better, also overclocking is not a necessity so the CPU can be changed and the motherboard as well.
FYI= I would like the computer to be future proof, well for a while anyways
Many thanks in advance.

Looks good except for the mobo, neither I nor the builders I know will touch MSI for builds, poor QC and support - there's been 3 new threads today alone on this model with the ethernet ports not working - MSI put them out for sale with this problem and have since 'fixed' it with a BIOS update - but have to think what else is wrong with these when they send them out KNOWING theres a problem - just one reason we don't touch them...might look at the Asus Z87-Plus or the Gryphon, both are great mobos, Asus seems to have the best handle on the Z87/Haswells

It's like the M&M Contract thing. If there isn't a bowl of brown M&Ms in the singer's room then who knows what else the people missed in the contract.

ok, but the cx 600, is that enough to support 2 GTX760's, and a perhaps overclocked CPU.
Is it worth overclocking, or should I just settle for a non-k version, also what fans should I buy extra if that is the case?
The GPU is MSI, should I change that as well or is it just motherboards?
and what's the problem with the case?

for the motherboard I want good audio (to a degree), that is why I chose that one, it has positive reviews everywhere, and it says it comes with audio boost (plus gold plated audio jacks). Do any of the motherboards you stated match it in sound quality, because if not I would have to add in a sound card of my own.

Most ASUS and Gigabyte mobo have 7.1 channel. That is fairly good if you are not an audiphile.

It's got the Realtek 1150 which is slightly better than the Realtek 892 the Asus mobos have, if you want GOOD audio, think $30 more is the Asus Hero (that's what I went with) it has the ROG supreme audio, 8 channel, and it can handle about anything you want to throw in it, I use mine for component testing as well as my primary WS

ok guys, could you please answer all of these questions: (By looking through the comments I found 4 problems which you guys stated)

The first is the case: what is wrong with it, why should I change it to another?

The second is the PSU: what is wrong with it and the PSU suggested (amit parmar), is that enough to cope with 2 GPU's and a possibly overclocked CPU? +why should I change it?

The third is the motherboard: now I understand that the hero is better, but for the price I might choose the G45 (its a £45-£65 price difference).

And lastly the GPU, what's wrong with the MSI GPU, they have the same specs; what's the difference

Also, what optical drive should I get (I want CD RW/DVD RW and to be able to read Blu-ray(optional))
++do I need extra fans

Oh I didn't realise you wanted SLI. 750w should be fine then.

1. The case I suggested you change because it doesn't go well with aesthetics. Assuming you want it to look good.

2. Stated above.

4. The EVGA GPU is pre overclocked so it would have a higher clock rate. I personally do like the MSI TF edition of this card. It's extremely quiet but not as cool as ASUS. Gigabyte is fairly louder than the rest but not to a point that you have to turn the volume up.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135247 for optical drive.

No need for extra fans.

As far as your questions with MSI, I know I myself nor the builders I know will touch MSI due to their poor Quality control, I don't see anything wrong w/ the PSU other than I believe it's being or has been discontinued, still perfectly viable, for an optical there are many choices and not much difference, I like the ones from LG and Asus, oh and I myself like the Storm Scout ;)

thanks for all help:

I took what you said onboard 'Tradesman 1', but the motherboard has had good reviews, even from random people, its cheaper so i'm more than likely going to choose that, im gonna get the twin frozr gpu, psu im keeping the same, and the case: well scout ii advanced all the way! :)
Also im gonna buy and build when the 790 comes out, the GPU will be cheaper and then later in life ill add another GPU.

Once again thanks
