To make it simple, heres my new rigs parts. I've aleady bought them
8350 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113284
Asus 990fx http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131851
8gb Ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231460
2tb HDD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148834
DVD RW http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204
Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147107
Windows 8.1 and 6 Fans

Now, I want to crossfire these 280x's:

But already have this 835w as the PSU:

Does it have enough to get me by? I think newegg's 750w for a single and 1000w for crossfire is exaggerated. It after all, takes the same power as a 7970. Thoughts? If I don't have enough power, should I buy a 290 instead?

its definitely enough in terms of raw wattage and amperage. You certainly don't need 1000W for CF.

how long it will last, is a better question. Raidmax psu are garbage and it may not be able to handle the stress for extended amounts of time.

So should I Return it and buy a corsair or seasonic? The one I have so far has 22 5 star reviews, but its sort of early to tell how it lasts. Most reviewers aren't crossfiring though, so . . . Seems better quality than there old ones, should I brave it out and see how it runs? I only have 4-5 days left until the Neweg Standar Warranty expires, and I'm nowhere near done buying a GPU. (holding out on the 290/290x release and AMD game bundles) Test it out on someone elses computer?

When I say reviews I mean professional, The specs on it look alright, it is built by Andison like most of their units which is not good http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page6337.htm
I hate to tell you to eat the restocking fee and if I myself had bought it I most likely would just try it.

I would just try it, but I'm am a good couple weeks away from building the PC, my copy of Windows 8.1 isn't even here yet. I know it works, It turns on in a PC. The issue comes in quality and trying to continuously max its power out with 2 280x's over 4-5 years of time (don't want to ever have to upgrade this PC). I know brands like Corsair and Seasonic are built for Heavy loads for years of use. Main problem Is i got this sucker for $80 and a nice fully modular corsair like this one is gonna cost a good $150-$180 . . . I just hate putting money into a part that doesn't affect your performance. Raidmax definately does not have a great track record. I would use it if it was a single mid-end card, but I'm planning on running such monsterous cards, I don't think its worth the risk. If it was my PC now, (gpu is GT640, with a $30 enermax 450w . . . You see why I'm rebuilding from scratch?) It probably isn't a good decision to let a Radimax loose in a Top of the line build. Thanks for the advice, I went into this worried about power, ended up overlooking the fact that Raidmax's product, even their new stuff, is still trash.

Well, I was aiming for the HX850, for $150, but I lost a portion of my budget, forcing me to skimp a bit. My budget's larger since last month (obviously, shooting for 280x's/290). I'd love to spend around $150, but I want a mostly modular or fully modular psu. Any good quality recommendations with no cluttering wires (remove the non-necessities)? I'm planning on air cooling so far, so airflow is important to me. I want quality, but need to save for the 280x's/a 290 (even with a 290, don't really trust this PSU)
