Hello all. I have an MSI-Z77A-GD55 motherboard with OC Genie II. My concern is, I want to disable OC genie so I can apply my own overclock. (going for 4.0GHz) but there is no disable option on oc genie II, and the "adjust CPU frequency" option is blanked out and i am unable to select it or change it.

You enable/disable the OC Genie by pressing the button. Some MSI MBs have a physical button on the MB that you press. Others without the physical button have a "Virtual Button" in the BIOS. So, if your MB has the physical button available, press it to disable OC Genie. If not, go into the BIOS and select the Virtual Button to disable OC Genie.
