Hello, I am currently interested in buying a mechanical keyboard and the Corsair Vengeance K65 has caught my attention since it's on sale.

I don't really mind having the number pad missing and I think I will like the mx red switches because how easy you can type with it (fyi, I never bought a mechanical keyboard before so any warnings or tips would be nice).

Currently on Newegg, it's $69.99 and I was wondering if I should get it or perhaps there's another keyboard that you guys may suggest. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

If you live near a computer store, then i would suggest going there and ask to have a look at and try their mechanical keyboards (if they have any), because mechanical switches are completely up to personal preference.

If you don't, here is a link to a Mechanical Switch Comparison Guide, which you can use to compare all the switch types.
(Ignore the Clear switch types, these are extremely hard to come by)

Once you find out which Switch color you want to use, a few keyboards that i would recommend:
Ducky Zero, or Ducky Shine Zero (Shine version has back lighting) (All Switch Colors) (Sorry couldn't find a good link)
CM Storm Quickfire Rapid (All Switch Colors)
Corsair Vengeance K-series (Most Switch Types) (Just search them...
