CPU not showing correct clock speed?

i have a fx-6300 that is stock clocked to 3.5GHz. however, when i look in amd overdrive and also CPU-Z, it says that my cpu is running at 3.76GHz. it says in amd overdrive that it should be at 3.5, but the actual speed is 3.76. what is the deal with this? i have to undurclock the cpu to get 3.5GHz

The FX-6300 can turbo all the way up to 4.1 GHz.

Edit: The full load max. turbo is 3.8 GHz, so that's probably what you're seeing.
