I screwed everything back together...I was planning on opening up to like PSU,CPU,GPU,etc...to look at the meat ...for fun.

But I stripped a screw , i'll just do it later...screwed everything back up...

in trying to put the cover back on, what happened was i think like...the thing some of the screws go into after you screw them in, they broke...i didn't know abiout them but they like stick out from the other side...Hope yall know what im talking about cuz i don't know what they're called.
and i mean it went in and it feels like most of it is screwed on right...but forcing some of these i had to pay the price for it.

Like the screws can go in those ones where the (plastic, cheap Sony) receiver broke...but it stops going in because there is nothing to connect to...so it doesn't screw properly in there.

...either way, what happened what i started up my PS3 again was I pressed the BR drive and it just wouldn't register, like it didn't show there was a game in there on the menu, nothing when i press the eject button, no LED...I mostly play on my dad's (lame, i know) integrated GFX PC, but htis is important cuz the game i have in there is from the library, and also i have a bunch of console games that i want to play.

THANKS SO MUCH, i appreciate it

I assume that the BD drive is not connected properly (power and/or data connection). You may need to disassemble and verify the connectors are secure. It is also possible that you permanently damaged the system this first time you took it apart.

That being the case, just be very careful re-opening the system to check on the BD connections.
