which processor should i go with?

i need an upgrade. how do these CPUs compare to each other in performance

Athlon X4 750k

or the

FX-4300

i am leaning for the 750k because of future FM2+ upgrades with the mobo i would get.
I want to know which one performs better and your reason why
forget about system specs and what i have (ill worry about it).
what i want though is a semi gaming rig play mainstream COD skyrim BF4 stuff like that

However, just throw in an extra $10 over the 4300 and get the fx-6300 (better performance for a little extra, totally worth it).

They are very similar in performance however the FX-4300 has a little bit of an edge with its L3 cache. The performance isn't that major. going with the athlon due to steamroller upgrades isn't as good as you might think. In gaming the six and eight core piledriver cpus will probably still out perform the best steamroller quad cores. Especially since they have an L3 cache.

I'll try and find some benchmarks but I have a feeling that i'll only be able to find old ones.

Compare to the A8-5600k (if available) as it is the closest to the Athlon:

however look at the difference in these between even the 6300 (Which i'd recommend you get instead of the 4300, unless if the price is way to high in your country)
