Hello, I have just finished building a computer with an asus sabertooth z87 motherboard, and after installing windows and putting it on the SSD, I tried to install some of the drivers with a flash drive from my mac. When installing the chipset, the computer rebooted, and came to the Megatrend screen where I need to press F1 to go to the BIOS and reboot from the SSD. This will repeat and I am not able to install any drivers

Any help is appreciated.

make sure you use the usb flashback port and update the mb bios to the newest rev if needed to fix bug fixes. make sure the ssd on the intel 6g sata port not the asmedia data port. the asus bios if set to factory default you should see the asus splash screen then your drives. check that you have the bios set right to boot from ssd under hard drives. if it boot looping then your ram or bios is set wrong.

So you have your boot directory coming from the SSD? And what does it say on the MegaTrend Screen? Has it got an F2 option to set defaults and continue?
Is it just repetitively asking? And do you have any other storage devices connected along with the SSD?
Sorry that I need to ask so many questions, just need a little more info to work with.

All it is telling me is the the devices connected, bios version, cpu information and at the bottom, it says "Press F1 to Run SETUP"

It does not tell me anything about F2 or any other options.

I have noting connected to the asmedia ports, and I will continue to check the bios default settings

I forgot to mention that the megatrends screen also said that there was a cpu fan error, even though the temps were ok and the fan was working. I went into the bios and turned of the "Wait for user to press F1 if error" function. I am not sure what is wrong with the fan, if anything, but the the restarts seem to be working now.
