Hi guys,
This is my first time posting on here, so hi. Anyway, I have a desktop computer (HP a6142n - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c01075987) that's just been given to me. I upgraded the HDD to an SSD and updated to Windows 8, but would like a new graphics card to replace the integrated GeForce 6150SE integrated chip (rated a 3.1 on Windows Experience - yes really). Anyway, I'm fairly certain the current generic 250W PSU can't deliver enough juice especially since I have numerous peripherals connected (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817174031). I don't know any reputable brands for this kind of thing, and I want at least 400W to future-proof it. If you have any recommendations for a PSU, that would be great (apparently size matters, so please recommend one that fits). If you can recommend a decent graphics card as well (here's my motherboard: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c01077676#N74) then I would be very thankful. Oh, and I don't really know about a budget, but cheap solutions would be nice (preferably less than $150-$200 total for both the PSU and graphics card). Thanks in advance!
