I've a 500GB Seagate Pocket HDD.
Yesterday, I was using AVG to conduct a scan of my external hard-drive. The scan took twice as long as the scan for my other 700GB WD Pocket HDD. I did an HD Tune error scan immediately but after 7 hours, the HD Tune error scan wasn't even halfway complete.
I restarted the computer and benchmarked the Seagate HDD. Its minimum reading speed is 0.0MBps while the maximum reading speed is 25MBps. I've started a second HD Tune error scan. The scan's much faster than the first one but I'm getting initial speeds at 0-5MBps. The speed eventually picked up but it's going down and up again every minute.
Can anybody tell me whether there's any problem with the HDD or if it was just a fluke that the scans went badly last night?
