Hi forum i currently have bought all the piece for my new build but im thinking of buying the 4820k.
the motherboard would be more expensive and I'd have to purchase 2 more sticks of ram which would cost me 200 dollars more in total.

Can anyone link benchmarks or divulge some information as to whether or not i will see that 200 dollars in performance?

4820k is 95% of the time not worth it over the 4770k unless you specifically want to use the LGA 2011 (X79) mobos for some of their extra features (40 PCI lanes, quad-channel memory, actual PCI-e 3.0 support, etc).

The performance of the 4820k is almost exactly the same as the 4770k, and as you said you will have to spend more money on the mobo. The RAM should not be $200 more expensive though.

I meant in total it would cost 200 more with the motherboard and extra sticks of ram
