How much space for SSD?

Is a 128GB SSD enough for the main drive?

I plan to run Windows 8 on it and store mostly programs I use and a few games. The rest will go on a 2nd HDD.

yes... thats a very common setup. OS and programs will typically be like 60gb.

if you play any particular game the most, i'd also put that on the SSD. and the rest on the hdd

As long as you leave about 10% - 15% free space on the SSD, you should be okay - SSDs really slow down if they become too full. You could keep your games on the HDD as well. Also regularly check the space left on the SSD.
