So yeh is a 280x enough to max out any next gen game well except the likes of crisis lol but yeh you know what I mean gta v when released bf4 with decent fps. I could get a 290x but I think it's overkill if there is any major pros of the 290x please say below :) Thanks in advance.

You can take this as a suggestion, I left space to add a more expensive GPU if you end choosing one but, for 1080p gaming, I still think the 280X is enough.

The 280X is sufficient to run most games at max settings at 1080p with a minimum of 40-50 FPS. Overclock it and I think you can achieve 60+ FPS in all games (except the likes of Crysis).

An alternative to the 280X is the 7970, which is actually the same GPU just underclocked. If you can find a cheap (but still good quality) 7970 you can overclock it and get the same performance as a 280X for less money.

The 290X really I think is more useful for max-setting 1440p gaming or 120 Hz gaming. It is also more "future-proof".

The 290 will likely be a cheaper, less powerful version of the 290X.

One of the reasons I was going to get the 290x more "future proof" I understand it's made for 2560x1440p gaming but as I said I'm trying to "future proof" my pc as much as possible.

That may be the card for me In between the 280x and 290x but I'll have to look at the benchmarks for it

What I said stands true though, there are coming imminent launches for both companies in the high end sector of graphic cards that WILL shake the market in the next week or so.

In order to help you further, it'll be useful if you tell us your budget and desired resolution to play with.

A vey good build ;D I had a similar one but only with a 120gb ssd. I will definitely take this build into consideration and for the price I could have It right after Christmas ;D Thanks a lot! :) One thing I may just upgrade to 1866 ram but other than that you've been great help, thanks :)
