I have an FX-9370 with an h80i. I was using the stock paste that came on it. I added a second XFX 7970 and ithe cpu started hitting 65 c and shutting my comp down. I ordered Artic silver 5 off of amazon because it appeared to be the best that was amazon prime eligible just so I can have it the next day. I got it, put it on and my CPU has not gone above 62 C with an average about 55C.

Does anyone have any recommendations for thermal paste that will exceed the Artic Silver 5 in heat conductivity to keep my CPU cooler?

My case is a haf 922. My H80i is intake on the back of my computer, the top 200mm fan is exhaust, front 120mm is intake, side 200mm is intake and bottom 60mm is exhaust also.

I was thinking about getting one of those PCI slot fans that push air out from my video cards, but I realized that this would just get sucked back in through my H80i radiator. Unless of course I reversed the radiator to be exhaust, I just don't know what fan configuration I would have then.

ignore above, that's silly... just b/c that's the 'common recomendation' doesnt mean you want your fans like that.

original Poster , you're correct... if you have top case exhaust, then setting up your radiator as intake will give the best results as it's pulling in fresh air, INSTEAD of hot air from the GPUs taht is rising.

i have the HAF x with 7950 crossfire and 120xl liquid.

Arctic silver 5 is no longer the best.. it's actually only mediocre these days.

Prolimatech pk3 is the best stuff out there.
my 8320 OCd to 4.8ghz and it never goes near 60.
