So it's time for me to purchase a new printer as it is now impossible to find a new cartridge for my old one. I would need it to have the following:

1. Wifi or USB connection for accessibility throughout the network.
2. Good quality print. Has to be able to print good (if not excellent) photos and texts.
3. Has a manual feeder and/or can print on odd sized papers such as mail envelope, cards. etc
4. Has to be an all-in-one scanner, printer, copier. Doesn't have to do fax.
5. Just the right size. It shouldn't be too big as my desk isn't either.
6. Has to be within $500.

There are million printers out these days so I need some help deciding. Thanks!

Would you prefer a laser printer or an inkjet printer? How much printing do you do per month/week?

Either. As long as it can produce excellent quality prints without exceeding my price point. I do an average of 10-15 prints per week both texts and photos.

Thanks for the recommendations! That Epson model looks good but I'm a little concerned about it's photo printing being mediocre. That HP one though I have seen and it is a little big, but not too big and overall has excellent quality printing. The only thing holding me back from the HP is it doesn't have a manual feeder for printing odd sized papers. I have to open the tray up and try to line it up properly.

Epson should have pretty good photo printing, I had one and it was ranked one of the top ones, but it was only a printer not an all in one. The Canon Pixma series is also very good.

I'd like to ask the model of your Epson printer. Looking at some Canon Pixma's and I'm a little overwhelmed with the selection.

Mine is no longer made, it's only a printer, not a scanner. Don't remember the exact model, I sold it a while ago. There are a lot of Pixma models, take a look at this http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2415591,00.asp It has a separate photo tray and good print quality, but does not have a top document feeder.

I would also suggest you look for a printer with separate color ink (they would have 4 or 5 cartridges instead of just 2) rather the ones with one cartridge for all 3 colors.

I see. I had a look at this PIXMA printers and most if not all have individual ink cartridges. The one you posted looked very compelling. According to reviews though they have excellent printing quality both text and photo. I'm gonna check out it's entire model family at bestbuy this weekend and decide which one suits me best. Thanks for you help!
